It’s important to take time to plan and sustain your Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) strategy as part of a balanced approach.

Your EYPP strategy isn’t a ‘one-off’ event, but an ongoing process which can adapt and respond to the context of your setting and your socio-economically disadvantaged children.

An effective EYPP strategy does not need to involve lengthy, written plans. Meaningful engagement between leaders and their teams throughout the process is crucial for making changes to practice that will stick. Spending some EYPP to facilitate this is a worthwhile use of the funding.
